Oh great, it’s USB3 all over again. Or should I say USB 3.1? Or USB 3.2 Gen 1x1? I know those are real things, but I have no idea what they actually mean.

It already does 4k 120hz and that is never used by me, can’t imagine any new TV tech selling me on an upgrade for the next 10 years
Either that or the tech has plateaued.
I just don’t think bandwidth is a meaningful bottleneck, or will be in the next decade, even.
As a linux user on amd i’m just happy to hopefully finally get hdmi 2.1 support lol. I’ll probably be good for a long time after that considering 4k 144hz is already hard to drive.
