in recent years, more users globally have been using personal monitors. In response, we are selling peripherals such as monitors and speakers to break away from the fixed perception that ‘PlayStation equals the living room

This is dumb. People talk about moving PCs into the living room because currently it kinda sucks. But using PS at your desk with a monitor is completely fine. Always has been. We don’t need Sony monitors or speakers for that. But I guess they’re trying to expand into proprietary peripherals? Heaven forbid someone should plug a PlayStation into a non-Sony monitor? Maybe PS users will get a DisplayPort out of it?

Not a chance for displayport. They’re too locked down by proprietary shit. That’s all this is they want to sell you a $200 gaming monitor for $500+ and some shitty subpar Bluetooth speakers that are worth $125 for like $275.

Probably all in a package together or some sort if thing like that.

It really worries me that they are not aware that people can do this right now anyway it makes me think the ps6 is only going to be able to hook up to a SONY Bravia pro X80+ whatever.

PS always used to be my favorite and I’m starting to actually hate them now man… Its sad.
