I’m impressed he went in! His family’s lack of interest didnt stop him from doing it anyway. Maybe the last panel should have showed him having a great time rather than remaining focused on them, though.
I didn’t get the impression that they were unhappy to be near the lake, just that they didn’t want to swim. I guess you could read it that way, but IMO that’s not intrinsic to the comic.
Yeah, this has always bothered me about these, it’s a family vacation. Unless they do his thing at one point, then her thing later, and maybe something more Calvin specific, and we just don’t see the others.
