I couldn’t care less that Spain won, I’m just happy Argentina didn’t win.

It’s 11:05am in Spain right now. I guarantee there will be people still partying right now.

There’ll be people hungover on the sofas in their villas, some enjoying a big breakfast in the sun, and probably quite a few who are currently not turning up for work.

It’s a good day to be Spanish.

Reminds me of an old sports joke.

I root for two teams. My home town team and whoever is playing against the Yankees/Patriots/Bulls.*

The lack of sportsmanship shown by the Argentine players has been despicable throughout the tournament. As a Spaniard, I appreciate the great support on social media, but I know we didn’t earn it; Argentina earned that support for us.

Spain can’t give them justice any more than FIFA can for unfairly influencing those games through various means.
