Funny how sure some of these business people are that the AI fairy tale will continue beyond the foreseeable future, considering that the cracks are already showing?!

they’re still on the free service. When they run out of trial subscription, rough a week or two after they fire everyone… that’s when they have to start buying tokens.

I think free services will remain for a long time yet, they are there to attract customers, and free services are very limited.
The users of free services are peanuts in use compared to what actual customers use. A business will easily use the equivalent of a month wage per employee, hundreds of times more usage than users of free services.

I think the actual economy is beginning to become apparent, expanding use cases into new areas is not doing that great AFAIK, because the AI models we have now is about at its limit of capability.

there’s a trial service that gets them the premium stuff and that eventually expires and they have to buy tokens.

The goal of the trial is to get them addicted to using it.

Yes absolutely, problem is that at current prices, if they increase their revenue, it will also increase their deficits, because most AI companies are offering the services below cost!

Are their B2B prices below cost? Because I know they’re way higher than what they charge individuals.

With all those billions and trillions being thrown around they can float that useless shit for decades!
