“I just wanted to pay for college!!”

And I guess what they really meant was:

“Yeah I’ll kill brown people for money!”

Historically…like, going way back…military service has always been one of the only paths of upward social mobility for the lower classes.

Post-9/11 GI Bill is no different, since education is often priced out of reach of the lower classes, and education is presented as a path of upward mobility, too.

I can’t fault the racism, honestly. Not because I want to dismiss it, but because for 18-25 year old kids who haven’t developed a full frontal lobe and have almost no experience or knowledge of the world outside their racist community (racism is more pronounced in poverty-stricken areas), you can’t really expect much else.

Main stream or street, it’s the same game. From drug dealers and people willing to perform hits to legal soldiers and big pharma. Dog eat dog Mafia lifestyles.

Our culture is so fucked up. It’s like they built something that revolves around evil. They taught us how to be a renewable resource instead of authentically live like human beings.
