    Don’t use AI for this kind of advice.

    Why? It basically gave the same advice as you:

    Can dogs eat cheese, onions, garlic, grapes or chocolate?

    Claude sonnet:

    Short answer: cheese is mostly fine in small amounts; onions, garlic, grapes, and chocolate are all dangerous and should be avoided entirely. …

    It went on to explain why each is toxic.

    Not saying it’s more reliable then a vet , but it’s just as reliable as strangers on the Internet.

      The reason is that it might not give the right answer next time, or on a different subject. Using AI for medical advice has killed multiple people already.

      AI is a “trust but verify” tool. Sometimes it’s really wrong, usually it’s right. Never take what it says at face value (which, as you pointed out, is the same way to treat a stranger on the internet)
