    As the article says, they lack pre covid data. I’d then question how they determine “abnormal behaviour”?

    I guess losing ability to smell is a sign of brain damage. And eventually things get rewired with redundant, less important or new connections if possible, resulting in different scan results.

      Because they compared them to the brains of healthy people, which while they have variation, have enough similarity to establish a baseline and recognize abnormality.
