Format, no, but sometimes the release group. I’ve filtered some of them out but there’s times when they’re the only option for high quality content. So I was hoping to solve the issue another way.

Excellent insight on the after release setting, that would explain why they’re getting downloaded prior to the air date. I always assumed that’s what that meant.

If I understand correctly, port forwarding has no effect on download. It’s only a factor in seeding. So if that’s the case, there’s likely nothing you can do. Your download rate is entirely dependent on the behavior of the seeder you’re downloading from. If they give priority to other media that is more popular and increases their seed ratio while relegating the source you’re trying to download, then you’re at their mercy. This is why using VPNs that are capable of port forwarding is so important. You may be the only person who manages to download whatever it is your trying to grab. If the seeder you got it from goes offline, anyone else wanting that material is shit out of luck unless they happen to use Mullvad. Mullvad is great. Their privacy and pricing is very strong. I’d recommend it to anyone, but for the purpose of information availability and preservation through torrenting, a VPN capable of port forwarding is a requirement.

Sorry you hate golf. Public pools and libraries are also heavily subsidized by tax payer money. Parks for that matter are too. Sometimes it’s just a good thing to provide your citizens with something to do outside. I’m certainly not a rich white asshole that drives a BMW or Merc. I drive a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe with 130k miles on it.

I no longer live there but in the 4000 population town I grew up in, the only tax funded public entity that turned a profit for the city budget was the golf course. The public pool never showed profit in the 8 years I was a lifeguard there. The best it ever managed to do was about a $6k loss. The library lost money because of building maintenance and after school programs. And the parks district was the biggest drain on public funds due to recreational sports for kids and an outdoor theater production for local kids to act in. If anything, the golf course helped fund other local programs.

Feel free to form your own opinion, but I’ve only ever heard good things about Top Golf and it’s not a massive drain on resources or space like traditional golf courses are. But I also enjoy golfing at public golf courses from time to time. It’s fun to get out on the course with 3 of my buddies to whack a ball and have some beers outside. Never will consider a private membership or course though. Private golf courses can be burned to the ground for all I care.

Hypothetically, my docker setup only allows jellyfin to see /mnt/user as /storage. So jellyfin would report the path to Morbius as being:

/storage/hdd1/media/movies/Morbius_all_morbed_up.mkv

when in all actuality it would be:

/mnt/user/hdd1/media/movies/Morbius_all_morbed_up.mkv

My intuition tells me that the file path that jellyfin “sees” would be the security risk. So “/storage/hdd1/…” Is that correct?

Can someone ELI5 this for me? I have a jellyfin docker stack set up through dockstarter and managed through portainer. I also own a domain that uses cloudflare to access my Jellyfin server. Since everything is set up through docker, the containers volumes are globally set to only have access to my media storage. Assuming that my setup is insecure, wouldn’t that just mean that “hackers” would only be able to stream free media from my server?
