Not really windows related but my work wonders why as an IT guy I think it’s a bad idea to force updates the day they come out.

Then it didn’t make 13 billion…… and it didn’t lose 21 billion.
It lost 8 billion. That’s how math works.

Yes this hand gesture

Isn’t it just Commodore? Commodore 64 was a model of computer not the company name.

Maybe they should have a pizza party.

Done…. well creepiest but not least emotive

This was my first thought and I knew if I scrolled I’d find it.

Restrooms don’t need to be gendered in the first place if they give you some damn privacy.
It’s not like I’m checking what that guy in the next stall is doin’. Hell I think I’m in heaven when I go to a place that has doors that go to the floor.

I have seen the temporary->permanent happen so many times even in enterprise IT.

I’m not a windows hater per se, but I am for using the best tool for the job.
And in my opinion windows is not the best tool for self hosting. There are things windows does work well for that meshes well with self hosting and that’s docker. Honestly I’d focus on that for a lot of reasons but primarily because it’s a very easy to deploy self contained way to provide services. And the differences between docker on windows and Linux is almost negligible.

I just asked a local one I use and it said “Elias Thorne is not a single famous real person, it’s a name that repeatedly shows up in AI‑generated fiction and content”

I’m pretty sure I do that with EVERY piece of hardware I get. I don’t trust that shenanigans haven’t been done. Hell most times I update the BIOS too if I can.

Most studies are to quantify common sense 😀

If it’s software, you could just reinstall it.
Hardware would be a different story. But I’m not sure how that’s different than today. My friend has a RAV4 that he’s added several hardware hacks to. For example, there is a module you can add that will give you actual numbers for each tire’s pressure instead of the usual warning light that a tire is low with no indication of which one. It even shows up as an extra screen on the normal interface between the gauges.
I literally had a beagle that ate a penny I dropped. That cost me a pretty penny.
No jokes she really did eat a penny. The vet gave her subcutaneous fluids and I thought it was going to require surgery but she just vomited it up after a day.

Yeah as long as they are all the same I guess it doesn’t matter.

“Stock Car” is in the acronym meaning the cars are supposed to be stock or meaning a car that was close to a regular production vehicle. They are not even close anymore. These things are custom built specialized vehicles. What they should create is NAEVAR. I’d probably watch that.
After looking it up there is something like this already.

sounds exactly like the music industry …
