Nearly 1,000 “Workers Over Billionaires” protests will be held across the US for Labor Day to protest the Trump administration’s attacks on workers’ rights and safety net programs relied on by millions.

Just as commander Spock (🖖) said:

The needs of the Bezos outweigh the needs of the few. Or the many.

Or something like that, I don’t know much about Babylon 5.

We need to protest in front of billionaires’ homes. We need to remind them that we know where to find them and that no amount of money will make them safe from our numbers if it comes to it. If that doesn’t work we need to tear their homes down to the foundations.

Right wing politicians are in power, and they won’t pay any attention to protests like this. They don’t need the fair votes anymore so popular opinion is irrelevant to them. Strikes need to be actually blocking commerce and for months if needed. Shut down the country or it’s meaningless.

They only organize protests like this when Republicans are in power but the Republicans are less likely to give a shit, and Dems are only 5% better for the working class - if that. By some metrics they’re worse. We need to have these protests regardless of who is in power, I don’t think the Dems really understand that the people no longer see them as the party of the working class, but they need to hear that message.

Yeah, they are scared like the last time with Occupy Wall Street. That’s why they propped up the Tea Party movement and hijacked it leading to where we are now.

The Tea Party Movement was propped up and hijacked before Occupy Wall Street ever started though. Hell the Tea Party had dominated the midterm elections before Occupy Wall Street started.
