The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said a Camden County deputy pulled over Cure as he drove along Interstate 95 near the Georgia-Florida line. He got out of the car at the deputy’s request and cooperated at first but became violent after he was told he was being arrested, a GBI news release said.
He was killed for contempt of cop, because he didn’t want to be arrested and imprisoned falsely again. The article does not indicate why the officer wanted to arrest him.
No information on why he was pulled over, no information on why he was being arrested.
If I had spent so much time in prison and escaped against all odds…only for some probably 25 year old cop to tell me I’m going back to prison for something I know I didn’t do? I’d fuckin fight to the death too. He was undoubtedly struggling from ptsd for this incredibly massive life interruption—when he was fucking innocent—and here comes some asshole just looking to fuck up his life again.

The lack of information usually means some really obviously egregious shit went down, and this particular scene has at least a 4x modifier on the severity due to the guy already spending so much time locked up on a wrongful conviction. Sometimes cops just get it in their head they’re going to fuck with somebody. Doesn’t matter why they arrest them, they’re going to arrest them, charge them with resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice. Those are called discretionary crimes for a reason. Anybody can be charged with them basically. At a whim.
Even if the police want to be honest they don’t have to lie… Just put someone into a painful compression hold so the body naturally pulls away from the pain… And bingo felony resisting arrest and the officer doesn’t have to lie about it.

I lived in Camden County, GA for a number of years. Their policing history is littered with shit like this. Does anyone recall the female cop that dragged a woman out of her vehicle by her hair last year? How about the guy that got shot in the back while running from a cop at a traffic stop? Yep, Camden County, and the list goes on. The local police and sheriff’s office are pretty much all psycho.
That’s all kinds of fucked up. Poor guy.
