There’s no way they’ll go for that cuz they’re addicted to quarterly profit reports, but honestly I think it’s a good idea in the long run. God knows half the companies in this country lose their mind every 3 months and sabotage the rest of the year if not decade because of it. The other half don’t even wait for 3 months.
While likely not even close to the intention, moving away from short term profits and allowing companies to focus more long term would be a positive step in the right direction in my opinion.
Like the COVID numbers: if you don’t test, then there are no numbers.
And the weather and environmental data. And the SEC tracking trading fraud. And the IRS tracking billionaire tax cheats. And the FDA tracking contaminated food products. And the CDC tracking anything to do with women’s health.
