Creating a narrative around someone who was good, going against everything they stood for but controlling the narrative around them to force one’s own autocratic policies upon others is an ancient tale.

Fascists do it with the founding fathers of the USA

    Tankies do it with Marx

And Christians started doing it about the exact moment Jesus’s body hit rigor mortis.

Deification of notable figures, in Jesus’s case literally, is always something done by autocrats who demand control over everyone else.

Actually I was referring to how tankies pretend to be communists but the moment the revolution concludes, they immediately abandon the teachings of Marx (proletariat rule, seizing the means of production for the proletariat, elimination of capitalism, etc), and instead go all in on autocracy and state-capitalism.

          tankies pretend to be communists

By advocating for positions that Marx held?

the moment the revolution concludes, they immediately abandon the teachings of Marx

Permanent revolution is the strategy of a revolutionary class pursuing its own interests independently and without compromise or alliance with opposing sections of society. As a term within Marxist theory, it was first coined by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels as early as 1850.

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about
