I find it particularly amazing that I have seen absolutely zero of this anywhere else. 400k and not a peep. “Won’t be televised” indeed. I feel like the censorship has really gotten more grotesque the last 5 years.

I decided to double check and WaPo has actually talked about it in multiple articles, but no one refers to anything above “thousands”. AP News refers to a pro-Israeli protest as being in the “tens of thousands” while referring to this one as “thousands”

The genius of USian propagandists is instead of outright outwardly banning things they just subtly degrade it, such as with this language…feels so much more evolved and insidious.

This contradict the assumption that Pax Americana major media allow representation from all side since those that does not favor Pax Americana get censored from major media and since the slightest perceived criticism towards Pax Americana are falsely framed as the representative of the whole opposition to Pax Americana in general. They could have construed the rebellion as acts by spoiled kids or evidence of decaying morality, but these construal would be made by the socially conservative Liberals who do not control the major media.

A year ago, it would be a marvel if 1000 people showed up to a Palestine rally. Now, a rally can be called and 400k people turn out. 300k was the largest Palestine rally some weeks ago in US history, and this is even larger.

The protests for Palestine have also persisted for over two months now, similar to the 2020 George Floyd protests. They may be slowing some, but they are still happening. If anything, people are likely being recruited into actual organizational and educational work and finding sustainable levels of involvement, which while less sexy, is on the whole more crucial than chanting in the street.

I wonder how much of it is more regional (i.e. say at present the number marching/protest are similar and they are distributed rather than concentrated, I’d need to see rough total counts for time periods to get a good idea, stuff the appropriate authorities have I’m sure…)
