I get where you’re coming from, as I have always held the same thought, but having played these remakes I actually quite like that it’s not 100% the same exact story. I like the meta plot added to it that explains a lot of changes. It sure is better and way more interesting than simply changing lines of dialogue or key moments without any explanation or diagetic reasoning.
However, I am also not really fine with stretching it out into 3 separate games at full price. It was $60 new originally for the whole game, on 3 discs. Now they want you to pay $70 times 3 for 3 whole games that tell 1 complete story. Shit has the same vibes of greed that Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit had.
