This is a point I was making back during election season: all of media, left, right, and center, are all complicit for getting him elected, because they all sanewashed every nonsense comment. Every batshit thing he said was paraphrased in reporting to cut out the meandering chlamydia-induced brain fog that tied his sentence-fragments together. Very few people were actually watching him and listening to him, versus getting summaries and soundbites on the news, so very few people saw that he’s a complete fucking lunatic.
Even the Spanish news networks were complicit. I remember seeing a clip where he said something bat shit crazy but the translation was something completely different.

Not sure about the broadband funding, but the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Hurricane Helene/Milton/Maui Wildfire special funding weren’t overly strict, and those projects have been underway for a while. Sure, these are targeted at disadvantaged communities, but they’re supposed to be.
