Who the hell keeps using this shit? Unless you’re literally forced to by your employer just drop this LLM trash. Don’t feed the bubble

Half my family uses this shit. The normies fucking love it. I get ChatGPT summary links, “black and white pictures turned color”, Suno generated songs, or AI generated caricatures of family members all the time, unfortunately.

I still cant believe people still enjoy it. I was thrilled with it like a new toy when it first came out. Spent like 2 days getting it to invent jokes and songs and being amazed at it.

Then suddenly I was bored. Same trajectory as a kaleidoscope.

Yeah my enjoyment peaked around the Dal-e days making crude stories and pictures. I lost all interest when it moved beyond that and kind of assumed other people were just late to the party and would get sick of it shortly after (minus your fanatics of course).

But yeah some people seem to be just infinitely fascinated with seeing what it generates. I get that a service that can surprise you is fun, but personally it just made me more interested in making my own stuff stuff and seeing what other people were (actually) making.

Same. I made like 5 pictures and thought: neat. And bever used it again. I only slowly finding out that people i know irl are super addicted to that shit. Like people you wouldn’t really expect. Suddenly someone drops: “yeah, my AI is telling me…” “I used my AI to do…” “You can use AI to do…” And it’s always basic shit too. My friend build a PC and some components were faulty. I double checked it for him, because he didn’t want to return anything and then it works and he did something wrong. Anyway, he said that he’s gonna return the ram and then send me this lengthy text that was obviously written by AI. It used stupid Emojis for some reason and everything. A whole list of shit why he thinks the ram is faulty and what he tried to isolate the problem. Bro, just return it, no one cares. People i work with use AI to do basic shit, that you can just look up. Sometimes they ask some dumbass AI to do basic shit like mounting something. Wtf, why do you ask a computer that never mounted anything, programmed by people who never mounted anything. “Ah just ask Chatgpt, it knows.”

This helps Ai providers to get data, but I’m curious about the sustainability.
