I think your comment is really important. And my neurodivergent brain can’t help but rant from your well put and succinct point. I wish could explain what you said in such a succinct manner. But here i go anyway.

I’ve been trying to explain this to liberals. They keep thinking that reality matters under fascism. That we will defeat them in “the marketplace of ideas”.

That time is gone. Look no further than the decline of Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson. The right does not care to debate you. They have already defeated you in that realm. They have gained enough material power that it’s irrelevant.

Look at the success of Joe Rogan, Nick Fuentes, and if you’re really online, asmondgold.

This is not a time for ideas. Ideas at this time are just distractions. There is no debating fascism away.

We ARE losing. We do not have a means of resistance that exists within the political system that exists today. That time is over.

So, you’re decision is to (1) sit back and hope that they don’t come for you before you can leave this county; because they will come for you (2) embrace this new world if it benefits you (white and male mostly). Lose all sense of your morals and accept that you only care about your own self interest. (3) engage in full resistance knowing that you WILL be targeted sooner but not much sooner than you would in (1).

I, myself, as I say this. From a privileged position am still deciding. My child is “mixed” race and a inevitable target in this growing Fascism. So I want to say that I understand this “personal” dance between (1) and (3). How long can I keep things normal for her (my kid) before I need to leave? How long can I try to be (3) before I run away. Do I run away and hope that she is better off elsewhere? In a country where she stands out so extremely?

Sorry. This became a rant. But this shit is not getting solved through pointing to the illogical parts of fascism. And all i see every day are liberals pointing to problems and expecting a system, that allowed fascism to have power, to somehow be the system that defeats it.

And your comment was very well put to be a starting point to explain this frustration. There is no narrative that we can try to explain away. It does not matter what reality is. Reality for most is being shaped by those loyal to the ruling class interest.
