Nah, surveillance is not the answer.
The proliferation of body cameras is a can / should problem. People have been performing their duties since the dawn of time without having to capture and provide video evidence of no wrong doing.
There are special cases of course but in general your local parking inspector doesn’t need one.
The actual problem is accountability. Theres no lack of evidence of corruption, there’s a lack of will to do anything about it.
And NASCAR style suits with patches for all their contributors. Patches should be sized by donation amount.

Far too often, you can have someone on camera dead-to-rights doing the most corrupt shit imaginable and… they’ll win in a landslide in the next election cycle, because they’re doling out the red meat to the right constituents.
