Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s staff cut off a USA Today interview question about the grossest food he has ever eaten, moments after he admitted eating “stuff I find on the street.”

“…I will literally eat anything… I don’t have a gag reflex,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Chambers. “When I travel, I’ll eat, you know, even stuff I find on the street, you know, street vendors, cooking.”

“Like, is there stuff that you’ve eaten that people are like, wow. You ate that,” Chambers asked.

“You mean, like, something gross? Or?” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. replied.

“Yes. Maybe gross for others. Yeah. Not for you,” Chambers said.

“I’m getting a signal not to answer that question,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said, shutting down the line of questioning.

    Pure outrage farming article.

When I travel, I’ll eat, you know, even stuff I find on the street, you know, street vendors, cooking.

Though that can also be gross.

Earlier this year, he told Theo Von’s podcast that he used to snort cocaine off of toilet seats — a remark he made while explaining why he attended in-person recovery meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Hill reported.

    Absolute DEI hire, incredible.

I don’t know what preceed before he admit that he eat streetfood but streetfood is very common thing, like everywhere, he’s not wrong here.

You really have to wonder about the editing here… Who the fuck was like? “Shit I find on the street… like hotdogs from carts.”

Then went on to describe whale juice raining down the passenger windows 😝

RFK Jr is an idiot and a menace. He’s a threat to public health and also to his own health. In a sane country he’d be under close observation by a psychiatric specialist. He has actually said enough terrible stuff–in fact, he’s actually said before that he picks roadkill up off the street!–that we don’t need to twist what he said into something fake.

With that out of the way so that you don’t think I’m a MAHA cultist: This headline is misleading. That’s not what he’s saying here. He’s just saying that he eats stuff from food trucks.

Honestly, the implication that he eats trash like a raccoon would be funnier than the banal reality that he’s either out of touch at best (because he thinks it’s weird to eat street food) or racist at worst (because a huge chunk of street vendors are nonwhite folks serving the food of their ethnicity). Or both, which is probably the real answer here.

A little tangential since it’s not about RFKJr himself, but Sean O’Mara, the doctor giving dietary advice to the Trump cabinet had this to say, as reported in the NYT:

“When you start eating healthy, you don’t need toilet paper,” he claimed. “Animals in the wild have no residual stool on their anus.” He described a proper bowel movement to me this way: odorless, wipe-free, over in three to seven seconds and “nearly orgasmic.” … “I could have a bowel movement behind a sheet at a dinner party in the corner of the room,” he said, “and nobody would know.”

Trump and/or his closest allies are taking advice from a doctor who doesn’t wipe his ass. And he’s proud of it.

Downvoting this. Hate the guy, but this is being misrepresented.

The guy said he eats food from street vendors. Non story happening here. The man generates plenty of legitimately outrageous things every week. No need for Raw Story to invent something out of nothing.

No, nottheonion is for true stories that sound legitimately ridiculous. This headline is blatantly misrepresenting reality, which is way more “onion” than “not.”

The Onion wouldn’t take some information like ‘Politician eats streetfood’ and turn it into ‘Politician eats food he found on the street’, The Onion is above that.

Considering his stories, he clearly has. Here’s the speculative part: I bet he’s fucked road kill too.
